pfdThe United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed volunteer component of Team Coast Guard. Founded in 1939 by an Act of Congress as the US Coast Guard Reserves and re-designated the Auxiliary in 1941. The 30,000 volunteer members (men and women) donate millions of hours in support of Coast Guard missions.

pfdThere are nine Coast Guard Auxiliary Districts in the U.S.A., and the fifth District, which is our home district, is split into two parts: the Northern Region covers Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware, and the Southern Region supports Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC and North Carolina.

pfdDistrict Five's Southern Region includes the Chesapeake Bay. The District is further split into Sectors, as follows.

* Sector Baltimore -- our Division 22 is part of Sector Baltimore
* Sector Hampton Roads
* Sector North Carolina
